First Time Visitor?

All are welcome to worship!

Parking is available in the parking lot on the south side of our church building or on the street.  We ask that you leave First Presbyterian Church’s parking lot open for their use.

From the parking lot, enter the building at our south entryway (located underneath the parking lot canopy) and follow the signs to the “main church” or the “chapel” via the elevator or stairs.  From 8th Street, enter through the doors that open onto 8th Street.

The “main church” (or sanctuary) is located on the 1st floor at the north end of the building.  The “chapel” is located at the south end of the building on the “chapel” level.

Members will be present to welcome you.

For most services, a paper bulletin or program is available with our order of worship as well as community announcements.  On Sunday mornings, all necessary worship elements are displayed on a large screen.

Children are encouraged to participate in worship, too.  Children’s Bulletins are available to help kids with the worship themes.  For preschoolers, Quiet Bags with fun and creative activities are also available.

Offerings taken during worship are used to support the ministries of First Lutheran Church and the greater mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  We reach out with Jesus Christ through our words and our care for others.  You do not need to give a financial gift, however.

Presently, we offer Holy Communion every Sunday except if there is a 5th Sunday in the month.  For Thursday worship Holy Communion is offerd on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Through this meal we receive the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine.  This is a great mystery and is intended for the baptized people of God (yes, even non-Lutherans).  Proper preparation involves sorrow for sin, a desire to be different, and an appreciation for Christ promise: “This is my body…for you” and “This is my blood…for you.”
